Grade One Homework Policy
The district’s homework policy recommends an average of 10 minutes of meaningful and
purposeful homework per day for a typical first grader (when assigned). There may be
times when teachers send home assignments specific to classroom learning goals and/or
projects. On days when no homework is assigned, families might consider choosing one
of the following suggested homework activities for all students. Please connect with your
child’s classroom teacher if you need further clarification or guidance regarding homework.
