Winding down (or up) the end of 2015!

It is so exciting to see how much your children have grown so far this year.  As we finish up December I am so proud of all the progress every student has made so far this year.  We are on a very successful road and I know will stay on this path as we head into the new year!

Math


We have started subtracting larger numbers and boy do the kiddos use what hey have learned about numbers so far to solve these problems.  We use our strategies to  take away from a number.  We have also been working on solving problems that are in the the same fact family.

Suffix -s

In Fundations we started working on the suffix -s.  We learned that when you add the suffix -s to a words it means more than one.  We also learned that the suffix s has two sounds!  We also learned that sometimes adding the suffix -s can show action.

Hour of CODE

We had a special activity and we got to go to the library for an hour of CODE.  Mrs Groden taught us how to use the app Scratch Jr.  We were able to program using this app.  It was so much fun!
