September Happenings

Here is a peek into whats happening in room 28.

In writers workshop we are working on small moment stories.  We are writing about things that happen in our lives and things we do.  We learned what a watermelon story is and how to find a seed story within the watermelon story.  We also have a writing partner and help each other make our writing even better!

 We have been enjoying using the maker space tubs.  It has been nice to see friends working together and communicating to make and create.

 In Science we are learning about plants and what they need to grow.  We certainly have some green thumbs in this class!  We planted our lawns and have watched them grow.  We observed and recorded what we saw in our lawn and then we got to mow our lawn.  We will watch to see what happens now.

 In math we are practicing our addition facts and learning efficient strategies for adding.  We have played games to help us learn our doubles facts.
